Balle Balle Paratha Tey Patiala Peg

Oye Punjabi, Hoye Punjabi, Balle Balle Punjabi, Shaava Punjabi...

That's how I feel when we decide to stopover to this place, which is located on Nashik Mumbai Highway, more towards Mumbai, to be specific, in Kalyan.
And when we reach there, we are all smiles, as the fresh air and the bright and colourful Pucca Punjabi look takes us to a Punjab village, which is complete with loving people welcoming you.
The property is developed on a huge area, with greenery all around, open space, an old well, farm look and pictures and architecture that throw a very earthy feel.

Kids Play Area

There's a tiny play area for kids, and the dads or those who come with drivers and love to drink, can enjoy to their hearts content.

They have an outer seating and AC seatings too. Nice huge place.

You cannot miss it on the way from Nashik to Mumbai. They have lot of parking space too.

Veerji Ready to Welcome
The interiors of the Dining Area inside too shouts : Main Punjabi.. Haan Haan Punjabi... Love the nitty gritties in the interiors detailing. The portraits are so Punjab.
Interiors

The food makes us even more happy. Well, but I should adding the disclaimer that What I write and share about is completely my experience and maximum the experience of the people with me while we have our meals together. What I like is my taste, may not be a hit with everyone, same goes otherwise.
A few pages from the colourful Menu Tabloid

Well, about this place, it has always been a hit with my small family, the bigger family, friends and others whom we recommended this place. I so want someone to organise a party here, really Dhaba style and we can try everything on their menu.
The menu is designed in the tabloid style and size, wonderful advertisements on it that denote Punjab and India in general. Lovely Indian Food they have, and some Chinese and Continental as well.

On this visit, we had already stuffed lunch from home, but how could we not visit our favourite place on the way. so we had some snacks and beverages.

Food:
Nimbu Murg

Nimbu Murg: It is part of the north Indian Tandoor starters. Nice huge chunks of chicken marinated in Indian spices with lemon juice, cooked in Tandoor. Juicy, succulent and crisp outside, the way a Tandoori item should be. Went very well with the drinks.

Adraki Numbu Paani
Adraki Numbu Paani: A twist to the regular lemon juice, with a strong dash of ginger in it to make it very flavourful. For me the ginger was too strong though. And they serve in huge glass, that I couldn't finish it.

French Fries

French Fries:
Good portion and well done fries, thin pieces and crisp, tasted good.

I would recommend the lassi out here, it is just lovely. huge glass again with a dash of thick cream over it. It can be a meal in itself for person like me, very heavy stuff.

Precious Stuff at every corner
They have quite an options for drinks and mocktails. There's breakfast menu, both Indian as well as continental options.
There's Jain Food too for those who follow very strict diet with no onion, garlic etc.

Try their Dahi Ke Kabab, yummilicious. There's vegetarian, chicken, seafood and mutton preparations. The waiters and captains on duty may not always be able to answer all queries but the menu is pretty informative in itself with what the dish is all about as well as their specialities. Lot of options for everyone but not a very unnecessary elaborate menu.
The Dal, and vegetarian paneer dishes have been a hit with the vegetarians in our family.

So, next, if you are on your way back towards Mumbai through this route, do drop in, this quiet hidden Gem and experience a True Punjabi Khatirdari.

Huge Parking Space is a huge plus point. But being a Non Veg food serving restaurant, that too with drinks and  not so cost effective as the other competitors that give much cheaper options, I find this place quite empty.
