Is this the end for our hero?  Read on... This originally appeared in Valiant, issue dated 9/3/1968.

Now, I have a selection of covers drawn by Mike Western.

My first cover in this collection is the earliest issue in my collection at the moment, the series called the Greatest… (this first cover originally appeared on the 30/5/64 issue.)
the next cover is the second in the series of the Greatest… and originally appeared on the 20/2/65 issue.
we now turn the clock forward to another two episodes of is it true? the first originally appeared in Valiant, issue dated 6/4/68
the next one is from the 4/5/68 issue (and as this was part of a bundle, I didn’t know this one was included.)
Are either of these stories true? The answer sadly is no.

Here is another selection of covers by Mike Western, and I have another two instalments of “Is It True”. One of which is fact, the other one is not. I will have a link to the true one at the end of the post.
the first “is It True” first appeared in Valiant, issue dated 6/9/1969
the second originally appeared in Valiant, issue dated 9/3/1968 (and i realise it contains the second part of the Ironmaster, so I’ll post that by the end of this week.)
so which of the two stories that appeared on the above covers actually happened? The solution appears here.

My final cover is another installment of “Is It True” originally appearing in Valiant on 12/7/1969.
for those who are wondering, is the above true? Sadly, the answer is no.

This now concludes the odds and ends from Valiant.  More in thirty minutes.
