Demi Lovato’s departure on her television show ‘Sonny With a Chance’ appears to be permanent. In a decision that has Lovato fans really upset, the Disney Channel has completely changed the name of the hit show for season 3. Now called ‘So Random’ the show appears to be continuing with the filming minus the Disney star.
Demi Lovato’s fall from grace has been an extraordinarily disappointing road, but there has been hope. Lovato, whoplays the lead character, was admitted to rehab last year to address undisclosed personal problems after an incident on the Jonas Brothers Live Concert Tour. She has since been seen out with her family and is known to be working on her issues.
The official word of Lovato's departure was that it was temporary and she would be able to rejoin the cast once she was well enough to return. This apparent change of the show name has everyone realizing she won’t be returned for reasons yet unknown.
As with any big network who has a younger audience it wouldn’t be surprising if Lovato’s actions during her time on the tour violated her contract. Keeping a close eye on the personal and professional conduct of a celebrity, especially a Disney star, is a nothing new. However will all the celebrities who have fallen from grace recently, enforcing the code of conduct has been a new road for the networks. If this happened it would release her from the show and the network would be able to do as they please.
Demi Lovato won’t be keeping her fans in the dark for too long. An official announcement from Demi is scheduled on Camibo for March 7. She is expected to address the issues of the show as well as let the fans know how she is doing after her rehab.
