Justin Bieber has made his fair share of enemies over the years, even as he goes in and out of attempts to reform. A slew of celebs have said some not-so-nice things about him, and his relationship with Selena Gomez has been rocky, to put things lightly. But Justin doesn't only have beef with famous people; he also periodically lashes out at his fans, both in person and online. Here are all of the times he just couldn't keep it in.
March 18, 2010: Justin throws shade at fans who cursed him out for a decision that was actually made by his security.
Sept. 5, 2010: Justin stops his Maryland state fair performance to ask audience members to kindly refrain from throwing shit at him — a pretty reasonable request, no?
Dec. 13, 2010: While performing in Pittsburgh, Justin throws a towel into the audience. He is more amused than mad when two fans started fighting over it, but he still stops and shouts at one of the girls to let go.
Oct. 5, 2011: Justin faces backlash for not engaging with fans in Brazil. But he was tired and didn't feel like being super cheery — give the man a break!
Nov. 29, 2012: A fan throws their phone onstage at a Madison Square Garden concert, so Justin starts snapping pics of the audience with it. When envious concertgoers pick up on the trick and try throwing their phones too, he kicks the devices back into the crowd.
July 30, 2013: Justin rubs an audience member's iPhone on his genitals after telling people to quit throwing stuff at him — again. Maybe the fan expected him to take pictures like he had in NYC? Surprise!
Nov. 5, 2013: At a concert in São Paulo, Justin angrily leaves the stage after a fan throws a water bottle at him that knocks the microphone out of his hands.
Oct. 7, 2015: Ronda Rousey reveals that Justin refused to take a picture with her little sister, telling her that he'd already taken a "billion" photos that day. "I'm not a Belieber," Ronda said. "I was, but I'm not anymore."
Oct. 28, 2015: A frustrated Justin has no patience for the rhythmically challenged audience of this Spanish television show.
Oct. 29, 2015: Just one day after the Spanish incident, Justin yells at fans who try to touch him and storms off the stage of a Norwegian TV show. He later apologizes on Instagram.
Nov. 2, 2015: Justin releases the video for "I'll Show You," which is a clear jab at overzealous fans and dissenters. Lyrics include, "Don't forget that I'm human, don't forget that I'm real," and, "You act like you know me, but you never will."
Dec. 9, 2015: Justin asks clubbers at LIV in Miami to kindly stay away from his Yeezys. At least he was nice about it.
March 22, 2016: Justin cancels fan meet-and-greets after claiming that they leave him feeling "drained and unhappy."
May 4, 2016: Video surfaces of Justin throwing a flag out the window that a fan had given him. But as Mashable notes, the story may be more complex than it seems at first glance. Another video shows fans forcibly reaching into his car after he rolled down the window to say hello.
May 10, 2016: Justin announces he will no longer take pictures with fans, because he feels like a zoo animal when people pounce on him without even saying hello. "I want to be able to keep my sanity," he wrote on Instagram. "I realize people will be disappointed but I don't owe anybody a picture." He also blasts a commenter for calling him a "prick" and a "douche," and posts a screenshot of the comment with a caption defending the "decisions I feel are fit for my growth."
June 8, 2016: Justin gets into a fight with someone twice his size outside his hotel. Although the reason for the brawl is unclear, the singer might have been partially triggered by fans who asked for photos even after he specifically asked them not to.
July 15, 2016: Justin calls out a fan for throwing her hat onstage mid-inspirational speech.
July 18, 2016: Justin gets in hot water for saying "no" to a fan who wants to hug him at his pop-up shop in NYC. A Twitter user shared a video of the incident that has since been deleted.
Aug. 14, 2016: Justin threatens to make his Instagram private after angry Jelena fans lash out at possible girlfriend Sofia Richie.
Aug. 16, 2016: Justin follows through on his previous threat and deletes his entire Instagram account, just after introducing the world to his new dog Todd.
